Job summary

Weis Markets in the United States is seeking a Warehouse Associate at the Milton location to support receiving, storage and order fulfillment. You will work with a voice activated headset to locate items and ensure accurate picking for shipment.

The role includes operating an electric pallet jack, performing pre-operation checks and ensuring pallets are stacked securely. You will inspect products for damage and maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with Weis Markets and OSHA

Qualifications

• Working toward completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a voice activated headset to identify item locations and quantities to be picked.
• Safely operate electric pallet jack to item locations as directed by headset; training and certification provided.
• Complete pre-operation inspections and document results for maintenance.
• Place and stack products on pallets securely for shipment.
• Inspect products for damage and secure with shrink wrap for safe delivery.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant work environment following Weis Markets and OSHA regulations.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Utilize a voice activated Vo Collect headset system to determine item locations and proper quantities of items to be selected.
• Drive powered industrial equipment such as an electric pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner to item locations that are relayed via the headset. Training and certification through Weis Markets will be provided.
• Complete pre operation inspection and all associated documentation prior to operating equipment and submit completed documentation to maintenance.
• Place and organize products on pallets in a stable and efficient manner for shipment.
• Visually inspect products for damage or improper packaging and secure products with shrink wrap for safe delivery to retail locations.
• Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, efficient, clean, and effective work environment while complying will all Weis Markets, federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) regulations, and laws.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Working towards completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
