Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. in Milton, PA is seeking a warehouse associate to join our team. The role focuses on accurate item location, safe handling, and efficient stocking to support store operations.

You will be trained on a voice-activated headset system, operate a pallet jack, perform pre-operation checks, and keep a clean, compliant workspace in line with federal and Weis standards.

Qualifications

• Working towards completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Safety training and compliance with Weis Markets regulations are expected.
• Ability to perform pre-operation inspections and document results.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a voice activated headset to determine item locations and quantities to be picked.
• Operate powered equipment such as an electric pallet jack to locations relayed by headset; training provided.
• Complete pre operation inspections and documentation before operating equipment.
• Place and organize products on pallets to minimize damages during shipment.
• Visually inspect products for damage or improper packaging and secure with shrink wrap.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment per Weis Markets and OSHA regulations.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

• Utilize a voice activated Vo Collect headset system to determine item locations and proper quantities of items to be selected.
• Drive powered industrial equipment such as an electric pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner to item locations that are relayed via the headset. Training and certification through Weis Markets will be provided.
• Complete pre operation inspection and all associated documentation prior to operating equipment and submit completed documentation to maintenance.
• Place and organize products on pallets in a stable and efficient manner to minimize damages prior to and during shipment.
• Visually inspect products for damage or improper packaging and secure products with shrink wrap for safe delivery to retail locations.
• Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, efficient, clean, and effective work environment while complying will all Weis Markets, federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) regulations, and laws.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Working towards completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
