Primary Purpose

Provide fast, friendly, and flexible service to customers, assisting the Food Lion To-Go Lead to maintain standards, and maximize sales through excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile, using their name when possible, and provide prompt, accurate, friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Food Lion's principles, values, and strategy.
• Efficiently shop multiple customer orders using designated tools and equipment.
• Recognize different types of produce and differentiate between varieties.
• Substitute items when requested.
• Scan, bag, and label purchases accurately, following company policies.
• Verify customer IDs and adhere to policies related to alcohol sales.
• Assist customers with order pickups.
• Complete accountability forms accurately.
• Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude towards colleagues.
• Wear the uniform properly, maintaining a neat appearance and adhering to dress code.
• Control store expenses by managing supplies appropriately.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintenance issues.
• Complete required training courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
