What You Get To Do
- Perform filter, pump, valve, and piping maintenance and repairs.
- Recognize normal system/equipment operations, required action, and notification, plus involvement in preventative maintenance programs.
- Perform all basic tasks related to the maintenance of saltwater and freshwater systems.
- Perform water chemistry testing and understand results as they pertain to all systems.
- Maintain records of activities performed during shifts.
- Perform and assist with general maintenance of park facilities.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Practice safe work habits, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas in life support systems and display areas.
- Communicate professionally with team members, vendors, and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What It Takes To Succeed
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification.
- Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics or previous experience as a Filtration Mechanic.
- At least 1 year of operational experience in an aquatic life support or water treatment facility.
- Knowledge of water analysis and ability to adjust water balance.
- Understanding of operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of pumps and related equipment.
- Ability to assess scope of work, develop materials list, etc.
- Experience with hand tools and specialty tools.
- Ability to interpret piping layouts and work with PVC pipes.
- Complete all required training.
- Excellent communication skills.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 80 pounds.
- Basic math skills.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including opening and closing shifts.

- Frequently lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Extensive walking, standing, climbing, and physical activities.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Perform cleaning duties with chemicals.
- Work flexible hours based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work around chemicals and water.
- Work in different locations based on business needs.
