PT Event/Birthday Coordinator for Parker Michaels location
Store - DEN-PARKER, CO
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids' birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.
Event Coordination
- Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
- Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
- Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, perform face painting, and other activities.
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc., to company standards.
- Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
- Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork.
- Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
- Create backup or emergency plans as needed.
- Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
- Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
Customer Experience
- Assist customers with shopping, locating products, and providing solutions.
- Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
- Engage customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments.
- Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys.
- Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
- Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
- Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
- Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to SOPs and company policies to ensure legal and operational compliance.
- Interact respectfully with others, remain positive, promote the organization’s values, and serve as a role model.
- Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to move throughout the store, including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves with ladders or equipment.
- Work may include outdoor activities, store cleaning, and working nights, weekends, and early mornings.
Applicants must meet legal requirements. The pay range is $15.50 - $18.20 per hour.
