Job summary

Aventura at Walton Hills is seeking a Dietary Aide to help provide nutritious meals in our senior healthcare facility. You will set up dining areas, assist in meal prep under supervision, and ensure all sanitation and safety procedures are followed to keep residents safe and comfortable.

You'll work with our dietary and kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment, handle tables, dining areas, and post-meal cleanup, and contribute to inventory and upkeep of kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food-service or healthcare is helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions with cookware and appliances.
• Friendly demeanor and strong communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsible for maintaining setting up tables and ensuring that dining areas are clean, sanitary, and organized. Prepare meals under the guidance of a dietary manager or cook in our senior healthcare facility. Duties include washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment; maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and floors; properly storing clean items; removing trash; and following all food-safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures. Works cooperatively with all dietary and kitchen staff to ensure residents receive safe and timely meal service.

Dietary Aide Responsibilities
