Paycom - ATS in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced admissions counselor to perform admissions intake, assessments, crisis intervention, and individualized treatment planning for substance use services in an outpatient setting.

The role involves collaboration with external agencies, documentation of client care, and participation in staffings, with potential after-hours work. A 4-year degree in human services is required, and a fully active state practice is expected.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of rehabilitative counseling principles applicable to substance use.
  • Knowledge of psychology and related theories.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and agencies.
  • Ability to prepare and complete written reports.
  • Skills in basic listening and counseling.

Responsabilités

  • Conduct intakes and assessments for new admissions.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans with client input.
  • Make referrals to external or internal programs.
  • Document client contacts in folders per guidelines.
  • Participate in weekly treatment staffing for admissions feedback.
  • Maintain relationships with external agencies via case management.
  • Conduct individual or group counseling as ordered.
  • Complete periodic client evaluations and reports promptly.
  • Prepare periodic and required reports.
  • Perform administrative duties related to client services.
  • Support and model ERI values and a trauma-informed environment.
  • Support Motivational Interviewing as core practice.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Serve on Commission committee(s) as needed.

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: Cleveland St - Greenville, SC 29607, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Nature of Work

Administrative and clinical activities necessary in the provision of admissions services for persons of substance use disorders who are entering outpatient services. No supervisory responsibilities. May require extended after hours and weekend work.

This position involves activities that require ability to lift 30 lbs., reaching, climbing and grasping. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing surroundings and activities. The worker is not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

JOB DUTIES
  • Conducts intakes and assessments on new admissions and recommends placement into services based on ASAM criteria.
  • Provides crisis intervention services to clients as needed.
  • Develops an Individualized Treatment Plan along with client input.
  • Makes referrals to external agencies or internal programs as appropriate for the identified client.
  • Maintains up-to-date written documentation of client contact in individual client folders as required by agency documentation guidelines.
  • Participates in weekly treatment staffing to receive and provide feedback on client admissions.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with external agencies through regular case management activities.
  • Conducts individual or group counseling sessions with assigned clients as ordered on the Individualized Treatment Plan.
  • Completes periodic written client evaluations and reports in a neat and timely manner.
  • Prepares periodic and specific reports as requested or assigned.
  • Performs administrative duties relevant to client services.
  • Actively supports ERI values of acknowledgment, commitment, openness, celebration, and humility.
  • Actively support a trauma informed and responsive work environment as demonstrated in the 5 core values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment.
  • Actively supports and implements Motivational Interviewing as the program’s core evidence based practice.
  • Performs related duties as required.
  • Serves on Commission committee(s) as needed.

Required Training and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human service area from accredited institution with successful completion of ADC process within 3 years of hire.
