Description

Part-Time Shuttle Bus Drivers are responsible for driving college-owned vehicles as a routine function. They work Monday through Friday, with shifts currently available between 12-6 pm, lasting 4-5 hours, with occasional weekends for special events. (Holidays and summers off) Drivers provide shuttle bus services for students traveling between Main, West, and North Campuses.

Position Summary

Part-Time Shuttle Bus Drivers operate college-owned vehicles, primarily transporting students between campuses. The shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday, 12-6 pm, with occasional weekend duties for special events. (Holidays and summers off)

Outcome

Students are transported safely to and from Main, West, and North Campuses.

Essential Functions

• Transport students between campuses (85%)
• Check bus cleanliness and fuel levels at the end of each shift; clean and refuel as necessary (10%)
• Perform special driving assignments and take the shuttle for maintenance (2.5%)
• Perform other duties as assigned (2.5%)

Experience and Education Required

• Six months of professional driving experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 23 years old
• Valid CDL Driver's License (B class endorsement) for certain shifts, with at least 3 years of experience
• Must pass a DOT physical
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record

• Understanding of transportation safety and college policies
• Ability to operate a two-way radio and follow schedules
• Accurate record-keeping skills
