Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart Inc. is seeking a part-time Machine Operator to support warehouse operations in Kansas City, KS. You will operate scanners and handling equipment to pick, bin and move products, while maintaining safety and accuracy in a busy distribution environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of warehouse experience; night, weekend and early shifts may be scheduled. Competitive benefits and training are offered.

Responsibilities

• Operate Scan equipment to locate, pick, bin and cycle product.
• Safely handle and move product, observing safety practices.
• Locate and return-to-stock and manage received goods.
• Report discrepancies and maintain accountability throughout the shift.
• Monitor daily progress and communicate issues to supervisor.

Pay Range: $18.30 - $22.77 hourly

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

Do you consider yourself a hands-on person? Have you operated a picker, tow-tractor, pole lift, squeeze, or pallet jack? Do you enjoy taking yourself to new heights…literally! If so, our Machine Operator could be the perfect fit for you. You will safely handle and transport our product within our warehouse.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Operate Scan equipment to locate, pick, bin and cycle product
• Safety Handle product in a safe and secure manner and observe material handling safety practices
• Accuracy Locate and return-to-stock, received goods and transferred product into appropriate areas
• Report Conduct driver load exception reports ensuring all products have been picked and binned for accountable processes
• Monitor Track daily progress and immediately report discrepancies, errors or potential roadblocks to supervisor
