Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and handle special projects such as restocking, returns, replenishment of front-end items (candy, gift cards, snacks), cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties.
• Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Count items, handle transactions, and give change.
• Bag items and place bags into carts when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to learn to operate equipment and tools used for the job.
• Complete the company's introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely.
• Meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes approved for the job.
• Possess relevant technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more.
• Constant job cycle.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the manual and handbook.
