Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and handle special projects including restocking, replenishment of front-end items, cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at shift start.
2. Set up checkout areas, displays, and block aisles as needed.
3. Provide exceptional customer service.
4. Count items, handle cash, and give change.
5. Bag items and place bags into carts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to learn and use necessary equipment and tools.
• Complete the company's introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes as approved.
• Possess relevant technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, walk 45% of the time.
• Max static pull: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the manual and handbook.
