Primary Purpose

The primary responsibilities include scanning and entering numbers on the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, bagging orders, and handling special projects such as restocking, replenishing front-end items (candy, gift cards, snacks), cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at shift start.
• Set up aisles, checkout areas, and displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Count items, handle money, and give change.
• Bag items and place bags into carts when necessary.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate required equipment and tools.
• Complete the company’s introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper uniform and shoes approved for the role.
• Possess technical training relevant to the position.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts, depending on business needs.
• Job cycles: continuous maximum effort.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand approximately 55%, walk 45%, sit 0%.
• Category IV physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs., static pull of 20 lbs.
