Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team in the CFH Medical Unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient comfort, and help with delegated technical procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment.

The role requires completion of a PCT training program or CNA certification and BLS. English communication is essential, and on-site days are 12-hour shifts from 6:15 AM to 7:15 PM.

Qualifications

• Post-high-school specialized training completed
• Successful completion of a PCT training program
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to support patient independence
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable and safe patient care environment
• Perform delegated technical procedures under RN/LPN supervision
• Collaborate closely with the nursing team to monitor patient status and comfort

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Unit Director and direct supervision of the Charge RN and/or Staff RN/LPN, the Patient Care Technician facilitates patient care through assistance with activities of daily living, helping provide a clean, comfortable and safe care environment, and performing delegated technical procedures.

• Shift: Days | 12-hour shift
• Schedule: 6:15 AM - 7:15 PM
• Status: Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Qualifications
