Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse in Kirkwood, Missouri, to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. The role requires maintaining patient rights and confidentiality while coordinating care with other departments and ensuring accountability for the care provided to assigned patients.

Education requires graduation from an accredited RN program and a current license in Missouri or a compact state.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or successful course completion.
• Certifications may be required based on unit/position (e.g., ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, EFM) and other unit-specific certs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
