Position Summary:

Provides supervision to students in the Counseling and Human Services program participating in clinical practicums at community agencies.

Job Duties:

1. Visits weekly with each supervised student at their practicum site to discuss clinical, professional, and personal issues relevant to their performance.
2. Interacts regularly with the students’ supervisor at the agency to discuss the students’ performance.
3. Maintains professional collaboration between the Counseling and Human Services program and practicum sites.
4. Provides feedback to the practicum coordinator and program manager regarding each student’s performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Counseling and Human Services from a regionally accredited institution or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Three years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to mentor students during their practicum.
• Ability to interact cooperatively with agency personnel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
