General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintains a clean, well-stocked store and provides excellent customer service.
  • Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
  • Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
  • Supports ordering, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
  • Supports loss prevention efforts.
  • Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally.
  • Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
