Position Overview

The PT Assistant Manager is responsible for executing all operational, merchandising, and managerial functions within the store during their assigned shift. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager serves as the manager-on-duty, overseeing daily operations and supervising Sales Associates.

Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions
  1. Driving Sales
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets according to financial plans.
  • Assist in evaluating business performance and implementing improvements.
  • Set and monitor store goals (individual, daily, weekly).
  • Manage store expenses.
  • Handle funds and merchandise per company policies.
  • Maintain accountability for store operations, associate development, and financial contributions.
  • Organize at least one grassroots event per quarter.
  • Manage merchandise effectively.
  • Market externally to grow the business.
  • Marketing Initiatives
    • Utilize social media to promote store events, recruitment, and sales.
    • Assist in scheduling grassroots events and driving PLCC and email capture efforts.
  • Customer Experience
    • Provide exceptional customer service.
    • Optimize store zoning for sales and customer experience.
    • Serve as product knowledge expert.
    • Model and uphold company values, holding associates accountable.
  • Operations
    • Act as manager on duty when necessary.
    • Communicate important updates to the team.
    • Conduct daily briefings (Take 5’s).
    • Ensure store cleanliness and maintenance.
    • Execute visual merchandising standards.
    • Assist with inventory management and supply orders.
    • Manage time effectively for self and team.
    Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1–2 years retail experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Retail math proficiency.
    • Strong computer skills and POS system knowledge.
    • High initiative and accountability.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Detail-oriented with deadline adherence.
    Work Requirements
    • Lift up to 30 lbs, push, pull, bend, and stretch frequently.
    • Stand for 8–10 hours daily.
    • Use ladders and equipment for store and display maintenance.
    • Flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
    • Travel may be required for district meetings or banking.
    • Interact daily across all levels of the organization.
