Job summary

UPS in Spokane, WA is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead safety, productivity, and attendance on the ramp. You will supervise, train, develop, and set high standards for performance while building strong working relationships with all levels of personnel.

You will implement development plans, ensure orientation and training, and promote a positive, team-oriented environment with pro-active communication and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kgs) safely.
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
  • Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Manages department resources to ensure maximum output, accuracy, and efficiency at all times.
  • Establishes and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, pro-active communication, inter-departmental cooperation, and continual improvement on all levels.
  • Implements employee personal development plans as required to ensure the continuing professional growth of department personnel.
  • Ensures all department employees receive specific and detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and pro-active coaching to support their continued development.
  • Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.

Job Summary

This position supervises, trains, develops, and holds ramp employees responsible for safety, production and attendance. Employee sets and maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. This position provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
