Lexington Humane Society is seeking an Adoption Counselor to greet customers, answer questions, and assist potential adopters. This role serves as an expert on animals available for adoption and requires a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle background check.
Must be 18+, HS diploma or GED, and a non-exempt position reporting to the Adoptions Supervisor. Applicants must work weekends, with 25 hours per week; shifts start as early as 8:00am and end as late as 7:00pm depending on the
Candidates for this position must be available to work 25 hours/week. WEEKENDS ARE A MUST! We cannot commit to a set weekly schedule, but new schedules are published one week in advance. Shifts begin as early as 8:00am and end as late as 7pm.
Responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting potential adopters. Functions as an expert on animals available for adoption. Must have a valid driver's license and submit to a motor vehicle background check. Requires a strong commitment to the mission and purpose of the Lexington Humane Society (LHS) and Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control (LFACC). Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Adoptions Supervisor.
