Job summary

Atlantic Cape Community College seeks qualified adjunct instructors to deliver Academic English Language instruction to non-native speakers at its Atlantic City, Mays Landing, or Cape May campuses. Instructors may be contacted as opportunities arise throughout the academic year.

Compensation is $810 per contact hour. Prior ESL or English teaching experience is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. A BA with relevant experience may also be considered, with campus location preferences noted.

• Master's degree preferred; bachelor's with relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in Academic English Language at Atlantic City, Mays Landing, or Cape May campuses.
• Cover courses in reading, writing, listening, grammar and speaking.
• Teach day or evening sections as needed and maintain engaging classroom environments.

If you are qualified to teach at Atlantic Cape, your materials will be maintained in a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching opportunities arise throughout the academic year, you may be contacted by the College for an interview.

• Reading
• Writing
• Listening
• Grammar
• Speaking

Prior ESL or English teaching experience.

Master's degree in TESOL or related field preferred. Instructors may be hired with a bachelor's degree and/or appropriate experience.

1. Your days and hours of availability to teach.
2. Your campus location preference from among Mays Landing, Atlantic City, and Cape May Court House.
3. Courses/Disciplines you have taught or you deem qualified to teach.
