Manhattan Therapy - Individuals & Couples LCSW PLLC is a Greenwich Village & Williamsburg Brooklyn based psychotherapy practice. We are currently providing telehealth to all five boroughs & all of New York State and have 3 office spaces. We specialize in psychoanalytically/psychodynamically oriented and emotionally focused therapy, including a focus on relational healing. We foster an anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+ affirming and anti-racist approach to therapy.
This work is challenging mentally and emotionally and we know that therapists care deeply about their impact on our clients. DUTIES
· Full time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 20-30 clients
· We require at least two days in the office two of which must be an evening or weekend day
· Maintains case notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation
· Participates in weekly specialized individual and group clinical supervision
· Assists in creation and implementation of Manhattan Therapy workshops, trainings and seminars, as interested/needed
· Possess an LMSW, MHC, LMHC, LCSW or LCSW-R and be licensed in New York State (or be in the process of receiving your license from the state/finishing the licensing exam)
· Actively anti-racist and driven to provide safe, inclusive, and identity affirming mental health care
· Education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities, such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Psychoanalytically-Oriented Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices
· Feel comfortable networking and marketing under the guidance of your supervisor
· Feel comfortable collecting and discussing fees with clients
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills
· At least one year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy (a graduate level internship can meet this requirement)
· At least one year of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy (including experience or interest in LGBTQ+ individuals)
· Self-reflective, self-curious, and willing to actively look at internal biases and countertransference
· Consistently evaluate professional hubris (acknowledge mistakes to both colleagues and clients)
· Be engaged in your own weekly individual, group or couple psychotherapy with an outside provider
· Highly responsive to email and text communication
· Organized and able to submit progress notes and out of network reimbursement submission accurately and in a timely manner, and in accordance of Manhattan Therapy’s protocols

DUTIES
Full time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 20-30 clients, including
individuals, couples, and if applicable families/collateral figures (Full time is considered 25
completed sessions per week, smaller caseloads of 20-24 may be possible on a case by case

Participates in weekly specialized individual and group clinical supervision
Assists in creation and implementation of Manhattan Therapy workshops, trainings and

Marketing tasks for self and Manhattan Therapy (as needed) to build niche and caseload
Contributing to the opening/closing office procedures like cleaning-up after yourself in common
areas and practice rooms/locking office
