Job Posting

Psychometrist

Winston Salem, NC

We're glad you found us.

Mood Treatment Center has been offering high quality, accessible mental health care for over thirty years. If there's one thing we've learned, it's that great care starts with great clinicians who actually feel supported - and every team member plays a role in the care for our patients. We're an insurance-based practice growing across North Carolina, and we're looking for an LPA to support our psychological testing for our patients.

We offer psychological testing, Spravato, TMS, therapy, and general psychiatry— often all under one roof. It's a lot — and it means our patients receive genuinely comprehensive care, and you get to contribute to our mission of increasing access to quality mental health services.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Psychometrist to support the administration and scoring of psychological assessments under the supervision and direction of a licensed psychologist or other qualified clinician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in psychological assessment and wants to develop their skills and experience in a structured clinical environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with psychological and cognitive testing and is comfortable following standardized assessment procedures, interacting with patients, maintaining accurate documentation, and working as part of a collaborative clinical team. Prior experience administering psychological assessments is required. This position is not responsible for independently interpreting test results, making diagnoses, or generating integrated psychological evaluation reports.

What it's like to work here

We've worked hard to combine rigor and high-quality care with a fun and friendly work culture. At Mood Treatment Center, we strive to offer the ideal balance of a small group practice feel on the ground with strong business expertise and technology behind the scenes. You contribute to the care of our patients while having an amazing, nurturing work team supporting you!

Your day-to-day role
  • Administer and score psychological assessments in a consistent manner with prevailing standards and procedures.
  • Input testing data, reports, templates, etc. into the relevant software and electronic medical record in a timely manner (Note: This does not include scoring, interpretation, or any other clinical decision making that is to be done by a Psychologist).
  • Assist with technical writing, proof reading, and assurance of quality documentary standards in the assessment process.
  • Correspond appropriately with clients.
  • Ensure that the services are provided in accordance with the policies and procedures of the facility, local, state, and federal laws, regulation and licensure/accreditation standards.
  • Create a climate that promotes quality treatment for each client and family through excellence as outlined in the facility’s policies and procedures.
  • Attend clinical staffing meetings and seek supervision consistently and when situations warrant.
  • Collect and communicate ongoing clinical data to the supervising psychologist, treating clinician, and direct support staff.
  • Develop professional competence through participation in continuing educational programs.
  • Assist and coordinate care to meet all accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
