Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Measurement to provide data analysis support to Psychometricians within the US School Assessment group. The role involves troubleshooting psychometric programs, developing QC processes, and handling large datasets while mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities include coordinating data analysis across projects, maintaining analytical code, and communicating results to diverse audiences. Travel 5–10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with lead data analysis experience or Master/PhD with data processing experience.
• Experience in statistical analysis, programming, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with large datasets and developing analytical code.
• Experience in project coordination, resource management, budgeting, and team training/mentoring.
• Experience in educational assessment or testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain psychometric programs and statistical analysis processes.
• Develop and monitor quality control processes to ensure data accuracy.
• Work with large datasets and one million+ records.
• Develop and maintain code and configurations for WINSTEPS and MULTILOG.
• Coordinate data analysis and data transfers across projects and teams.
• Improve data processing workflows and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead or support data analysis for standard-setting and data review meetings.
• Train and mentor colleagues on programming, data processing, troubleshooting, and QC.
• Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support project planning, resource coordination, and process documentation.
• Travel of approximately 5–10%
