Job summary

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Psychology or closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instruction fundamentals and effective communication.
• Understanding of first- and second-year college students.
• Interpersonal skills and collaborative style.
• Experience teaching in higher education; clinical psychology experience; licensure in VA or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Teach psychology in-seat, hybrid, and online formats.
• Prepare timely grade reports and performance reports.
• Organize class activities and align with learning outcomes.
• Advise students and serve on committees within the Social & Behavioral Sciences Department.
