Middlesex Community College invites applications for an Assistant Professor, Psychology. The full-time faculty member will teach Psychology courses at the Bedford and Lowell campuses, collaborate with the chair and dean, and contribute to program development and student advisement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology is required.
• Ability to teach a variety of psychology courses.
• Understanding of the community college role and mission.
• Experience with diverse instructional methods.
• Ability to work collegially with faculty from different disciplines.
• Commitment to continuous professional improvement.
• Understanding of the community college in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of fifteen credits per semester in Psychology.
• Post and conduct office hours as required by contract.
• Participate in department, division, and college meetings.
• Provide ongoing advising for course, program, and career decisions.
• Engage in professional development and stay current in area of expertise.
• Help plan, implement, and evaluate the psychology program and student experiences.
• Orient new adjunct faculty to course and program requirements.
• Ensure program compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Fulfill terms of the faculty contract as per the MCCC Agreement.
• Engage in college service as needed.
