Job summary

East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is accepting applications to establish a pool for Substitute Adult Education Instructor – General Education Math courses at our Mesa, AZ Main Street campus. This is a part-time, as-needed position.

Under supervision, the Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision during the temporary absence of a regular teacher, implementing lesson plans and maintaining a safe, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology or closely related field.
• Minimum of 18 graduate-level psychology credits with a grade of C or higher.
• At least one year of collegiate-level teaching experience.
• Experience with Canvas, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft or similar LMS.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction and supervision during the temporary absence of a regular teacher.
• Maintain a safe, structured learning environment while implementing lesson plans.
• Prepare reports and feedback for the regular teacher regarding student participation and performance.
