Applications are being accepted to establish a pool of qualified candidates for the position of Substitute Adult Education Instructor – General Education Courses in Math at the East Valley Institute of Technology. This is a part-timeas needed position located at our Main Street campus located in Mesa, AZ.

Job Description:Under general supervision, the Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision during the temporary absence of a regular teacher. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment while implementing lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher. The role requires engaging students in meaningful learning activities, and supporting their academic progress. Substitutes will also prepare reports and feedback for the regular teacher regarding student participation and performance.

Salary: $50.00 / Hour

Job Type: Non-Exempt, As-needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in Psychology or closely related field.
• A minimum of18 graduate-level creditsin Psychology with a grade of "C" or higher.
• At leastoneyear of collegiate-level teaching experience.
• Experience usingCanvas,Google Classroom, andExamSoftor similar learning management systems.
• Valid Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) if born after January 1, 1957
