Family of Kidz seeks a licensed psychologist to perform child-focused evaluations across Suffolk County, NY. The role involves administering standardized tests, gathering histories, and producing clear diagnostic reports for children from preschool to school age.

Qualifikationen

• Doctoral degree in psychology required, NYS license or limited permit.
• School psychologist certification issued by NYS Ed Dept.
• Experience evaluating children on the autism spectrum.
• Experience evaluating preschool age children.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with families and children.

Aufgaben

• Conduct psychological evaluations and social/developmental histories for children of various ages.
• Use standardized assessment tools (Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence, Bayley Scales, Conners Early Childhood, BASC-3, Vineland).
• Write comprehensive diagnostic and psychological reports.
• Maintain communication with supervisors, employees and families.
• Ensure compliance with government and agency regulations and participate in meetings as needed.

Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations and social/developmental histories for children of various ages
• Utilize research-based assessment tools such as the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence-Fourth Edition; Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development-Fourth Edition; Conners Early Childhood Behavior Rating Scales; Behavior Assessment System for Children-3; Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales
• Write a comprehensive and clear diagnostic and psychological report
• Maintain positive communication between supervisors, employees and families
• Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards
• Participate in meetings as needed

• Doctoral Degree in Psychology
• NYS Licensed or Limited Permit Psychologist
• New York State School Psychologist Certificate issued by the New York State Education Department
• Experience working with or evaluating children on the autism spectrum
• Experience evaluating preschool age children
• Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families
• Bilingual is a plus
