Job summary

OU Health is seeking a licensed psychologist (or license-eligible) in Oklahoma City to join a growing interdisciplinary team. The role involves assessment, treatment, and consultation for individuals with behavioral health needs that intersect medical conditions, within the OU Health system.

The ideal candidate will have completed a APA-accredited internship, doctoral training, and experience in supervision, research, and program development.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) is required.
• Completion of a predoctoral, APA-accredited internship is required.
• Specialized postdoctoral training (residency/fellowship) is required.
• For Children’s facility roles, experience with Adolescents and Youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with psychological and medical conditions within the OU Health system.
• Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding psychological aspects of patients’ mental health, medical conditions, or hospitalization.
• Attend and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings.
• Provide supervision to psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents.
• Participate in academic opportunities, including clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines.
• Participate in program development opportunities based on clinical service needs.

Job description

The licensed psychologist (or license-eligible psychologist) in the State of Oklahoma will provide care as part of our growing healthcare system and will be an essential part of the interdisciplinary team at OU Health by providing assessment, treatment, and consultation for individuals with behavioral health needs that may be associated with their health conditions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with a variety of psychological andmedical conditions within the OU Health system.
• Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding the psychological aspects of a patient's mental health condition, medical condition, or hospitalization.
• Attend and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings.
• Provide supervision to psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents.
• May participate in a variety of academic opportunities, including clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines.
• May participate in program development opportunities based on the specific needs of the clinical service.

General Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.): Psychology (Required).
  

Experience Requirements

• Completion of a predoctoral, APA-accredited internship required.
• Specialized training in psychology, including a postdoctoral residency/fellowship required.
• Psychologists employed at a Children's facility must have demonstrated experience working with Adolescents and Youth.
• 5 or more years' experience, including postdoctoral training, required.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

• Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Oklahoma required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements

• Be eligible for faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
• Have knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation.
• Have an interest in training/supervision of trainees in psychology and other disciplines.
• Have experience in research, program development, and/or quality improvement.
