Job description

Job Summary

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a licensed psychologist for the outpatient behavioral health program. Dependent upon the candidate's prior experience and skill set, the position can support behavioral health services within primary care practices on our main hospital campus, specialty pediatric care, and services focusing on neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment. Candidates should have a background in clinical, school, or pediatric psychology, and experience in the assessment and treatment of pediatric behavioral health disorders. Experience in medical settings, specifically primary or specialty care, is preferred though not required. The clinician should have a broad knowledge base of evidenced-based treatment approaches for pediatric developmental and behavioral health disorders, including experience with behavioral interventions and psychotherapeutic strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse demographic of clients and providing culturally and linguistically responsive care.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical, School, Counseling Psychology
  • Preference for completion of an APA accredited doctoral program

Licensure Requirements:

  • State of PA – Psychologist License

Clinical Experience:

  • Practices effectively as an independent clinician
  • Responsive to feedback from supervisors and colleagues about clinical practice
  • Provides comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment services to children and families, in pediatric settings
  • Communicates with referral sources as indicated
  • Assures that professional practice is in accordance with applicable professional and licensing body standards
