Join to apply for the Psychologist - Remote role at Loyal Source Government Services.

This role involves performing Medical Disability Examinations (MDE) for veterans filing disability claims related to mental health conditions such as PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety through the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) as part of the Compensation and Pension Program. These comprehensive mental health exams include assessments and medical opinions but do not involve treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient assessments and evaluations
• Provide psychological/neuropsychological testing services
• Participate in peer consultations, staff meetings, and training sessions
• Enter determinations in accordance with VA guidelines
• Perform non-MD clinical reviews, including requests for testing
• Perform comprehensive mental health examinations for conditions such as PTSD, Depression, MST, Anxiety, and Eating Disorders
• Write medical opinions for mental health claims
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and VA rules
• Note: C&P mental health examinations are one-time, no-treatment evaluations

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed doctoral-level Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
• Current license allowing independent practice, unrestricted
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
• Dedicated secure workspace with high-speed internet access
• Graduated from an APA-accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performing C&P exams (training provided)
• Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
• Certification from ASPPB (CPQ)
• Experience in managed care, peer reviews, and various lines of business
• Experience with CPT and HCPCS codes
• Clinical experience with children, adolescents, substance abuse, and evidence-based treatments
• Advanced computer skills, organizational and communication skills, and ability to work independently

Compensation

$55 per hour
