Job summary

The Psychologist will provide psychological services to Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare clients at our in-patient hospital and community sites.

Licensed to practice psychology in Ohio, you will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at the Northfield, Ohio location. This full-time position is part of the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit with a pay range and benefits, including retirement and paid leave.

Qualifications

• License to practice psychology as issued by Ohio State Board of Psychology per Section 4732.12 or 4732.15 (A) of Ohio Revised Code.
• Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application.
• Strong collaboration and analytical thinking skills are essential.

What you’ll do at DBH

The Psychologist will provide psychological services to Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare clients at our in-patient hospital and community sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Psychological services including groups, psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and psychosocial rehabilitation
• Perform assessments, including risk assessments and risk management planning for the justice involved population
• Administering, scoring, interpreting, and reporting the results of psychological tests
• Provide forensic assessments per court order, testify to your expert opinion as requested
• Develop treatment plans and ensure that they are relevant to psychology services
• Develop and implement programs
• Attend meetings and serve on committees/work groups

This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 15 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199Pay Range Schedule. This position is located at 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio. Working Hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will remain at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information

Employees who complete five years of total service with the State of Ohio receive an automatic 2.5% supplement based on their classification salary base. For each additional year of qualified service, they receive an extra 0.5% supplement increase annually, continuing until they reach the maximum 10% longevity supplement, which occurs at 20 years of service.
