Job description

Description

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is
seeking to hire a part-time Psychologist to join the Youth Stress and Mood
Program. Primary duties include:

  • Assisting in implementing program protocols
    using principles and protocols
  • Implementing programs and training for YSAM
    programs
  • Implementing program protocols for evaluation,
    intervention/treatment, and other clinical activities for youths (i.e.
    psychodiagnosis and psychotherapy)
  • Assisting with program development, planning,
    and implementation
  • Collating and reviewing data and developing
    reports, presentations, and other dissemination projects
Salary: $58.36/hr - $76.99/hr
Please note this is a limited position that may convert to career
Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology
  • Valid CA Psychologist License
  • Minimum 2 years of post-doctoral experience
    in clinical psychology
  • Experience and training in psychopathology and
    psychotherapy in the area of suicide/self-harm prevention and depression
  • Prior work experience with youth patients with
    depression, self-harm behavior, and suicidal ideation and behavior
  • Ability to assess and interpret complex
    emotional and medical diagnosis for children and adolescents
  • Ability to recommend course treatment, and
    implementation treatment plans, for children and adolescents, and their
    families
  • Ability to train, supervise, and teach staff and
    trainees
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
