Job description

The Department of Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a primary affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS), is seeking a part‑time doctoral‑level (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) Psychologist to join our Health Integration Program (HIP), an outpatient psychosis‑speciality clinic for adults with chronic schizophrenia‑spectrum illnesses located at CHA’s Cambridge Hospital Campus (Macht Building) and the Malden Street Care Center. We are seeking a collaborative clinician with experience treating patients with chronic and serious mental illness (SMI) and a desire to work in an innovative, team‑based model of care.

HIP provides comprehensive, team‑based services, including comprehensive assessment, psychopharmacological treatment, individual and group psychotherapy, care coordination, and peer support to promote recovery, wellness, and independent living. The psychologist will provide evidence‑based psychotherapy, including individual, group, and family treatment, and collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, psychiatry residents, and community providers to address patients’ complex behavioral, medical, and psychosocial needs.

The Harvard‑affiliated CHA Department of Psychiatry is recognized as a leader in patient care, teaching and research. As a leader in behavioral health for more than 20 years, CHA's psychiatry teams provide compassionate care to our diverse patient population. Our system consists of three Hospital campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty outpatient care practices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s Metro North Region, with a fully integrated medical record system (EPIC).

The position carries a part‑time Harvard Medical School appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, available commensurate with HMS criteria, candidate qualifications, and commitment to teaching responsibilities.

CHA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, 403b retirement accounts with matching, generous Paid Time Off (PTO), and a CME allotment (both time and dollars). The full‑time salary range is $111,000-$140,000, pro‑rated for part‑time positions, and based on years of experience and specific role.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and pregnancy‑related conditions or any other characteristic protected by law.
