Job Description

The incumbent will be expected to perform the following duties:

  1. Provide professional psychological services under supervision;
  2. Develop behavioral/treatment plans and complete assessments;
  3. Design, administer, score, and interpret psychological tests;
  4. Analyze behavioral data and write progress notes;
  5. Conduct psychological evaluations;
  6. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams and case reviews;
  7. Lead and participate in individual, family, and group counseling sessions;
  8. Prepare reports and maintain records;
  9. Participate in peer review.
Minimum Qualifications for Psychologist 2

You must have:

  • A master's degree in psychology from an accredited institution, with coursework in assessment and treatment modalities;
  • Three years of supervised post-master's experience providing psychological services in relevant settings.

Substitutions include a doctoral degree with one year of experience, or specific practicum or certifications. Detailed examples of qualifying programs and experience are provided in the original description.

Additional Information

This position is part of the NY HELPS program, with non-competitive appointment options and potential for permanent status after one year. Salary ranges from $90,681 to $113,650, including adjustments. Other employment benefits include health insurance, retirement, paid leave, professional development, and more.
