Job description

Psychologist | Therapy-Focused Role in a Collaborative Tampa Group Practice

Psychology Group of Tampa Bay is hiring a full‑time Psychologist for our Tampa office.

This is a therapy-focused role for someone who wants to do excellent clinical work inside a genuinely collaborative group practice. We are psychologist-owned, evidence-based, team-oriented, and invested in both client growth and clinician growth.

The majority of this role is therapy, with opportunities over time for consultation, supervision, program development, leadership, and some psychological testing depending on interest and fit.

The role

We are looking for a psychologist who can provide thoughtful, evidence-based therapy to a broad clinical population, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, parents, families, college students, neurodivergent clients, and LGBTQIA+ clients.

Common concerns include anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, OCD, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship/family concerns.

We especially value clinicians trained in approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, trauma-focused treatments, and other empirically supported models.

Compensation and schedule
  • Full-time W-2 position
  • Salary range: $96,000-$105,000
  • Quarterly bonus eligibility up to $2,000
  • Target of 25 billable/client-contact hours per week, measured quarterly
  • Paid time for documentation, consultation, meetings, training, and administrative work
  • Hybrid role with majority in-person availability expected
  • Structured 90-day ramp-up period based on referral demand
  • Two evenings per week required during ramp-up
  • No weekend requirement
  • Ideal start within 30-60 days of offer

After the first 90 days, clinicians have greater autonomy over schedule and caseload while maintaining clinical targets and meeting practice needs.

What we offer
  • $200/month Health Reimbursement Arrangement
  • SIMPLE IRA with match up to 3%
  • Two weeks PTO
  • Six paid holidays
  • Annual CE/training support
  • Internal trainings and consultation
  • Furnished office
  • TherapyNotes EHR
  • AI-assisted documentation support
  • Billing, credentialing, intake, scheduling, and payment support
  • Marketing support
  • Weekly staff meetings
  • Monthly consultation meetings
  • Quarterly feedback and performance conversations
  • Transparent internal compensation/tier structure
  • Opportunities for supervision, leadership, training, and program development
Who thrives here

People thrive at PGTB when they are collaborative, intentional, clinically curious, kind, open to feedback, willing to consult, and interested in contributing to the life of the practice.

This is a good fit for someone who wants the support of a group practice and also wants to be a productive member of that group.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctoral degree in psychology
  • Active Florida psychologist license or clear Florida license eligibility
  • Training in evidence-based therapy
  • Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming care
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based clinical setting

Strongly preferred:

  • Independently licensed psychologist in Florida
  • Experience with CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, trauma-focused care, or related empirically supported approaches
  • Interest in personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, health psychology, or generalist private practice work
  • Interest in supervision, consultation, program development, or leadership over time

This is not a postdoctoral fellowship or supervised postdoc position.
