Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a licensed psychologist to evaluate and treat patients, providing comprehensive psychological assessment and psychotherapy under general supervision of the clinical director. The role may involve collaboration on Quality Improvement initiatives within Brown University Health.

There is potential for a faculty appointment through Alpert Medical School, with teaching and supervision of trainees if applicable. Typical hours are M-F 8-5 at LPG Providence, RI.

Qualifications

• PhD in Clinical Psychology or the equivalent (e.g., PsyD, PhD or EdD in Counseling Psychology).
• Completion of an American Psychological Association accredited Internship.
• Postdoctoral Fellowship (minimum 1 year) if required by state of licensure.
• Licensed to practice as a Psychologist in the State of Rhode Island or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with psychological services including assessment and psychotherapy.
• Assist with Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Initiatives consistent with Brown University Health principles.
• Possible teaching and supervision of trainees if a faculty appointment is obtained.

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the clinical director, evaluates and treats patients, providing a full range of psychological services, including psychological assessment and psychotherapy. Assists with Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Initiatives consistent with Brown University Health principles.Candidates may be eligible for a faculty appointment through Alpert Medical School.
