Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s WeCARE program seeks full-time Licensed Psychologists to evaluate welfare recipients with medical or mental health conditions and assist with disability applications. You will determine employability through assessments and support clients toward improved health and meaningful employment.

The role involves conducting assessments, serving as a clinical resource for WeCARE staff, and ensuring compliance with contract obligations within a major academic medical center

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree required (PHD/PSYD).
• Licensed Psychologist in New York (active registration).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with disability evaluations strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Psychological Assessments for clients when they disagree with their Functional Capacity Outcome determination or when a FAB cannot be determined due to mental health barriers.
• Serve as a clinical resource for WeCARE staff to help ensure program goals and contractual obligations are met.

Work Days: MON-FRI.

Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM.

Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS.

Pay Range: $108,000.00-$135,000.00.

Location: Queens: 92-31 Union Hall St., 4th Floor, Jamaica, NY.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM (schedule falls within this range).

Hybrid: 1-2 remote days per week possible.

Salary: $130,000-$135,000 + full benefits.

Montefiore Medical Center's subsidiary, University Behavioral Associates (UBA), is seeking full-time Licensed Psychologists to join our WeCARE program.

WeCARE is an employment-focused program serving welfare recipients with medical and/or mental health disorders. Psychologists play a central role in determining employability for individuals with mental health conditions and assisting with federal disability applications. Position Overview

• Conducting Psychological Assessments for clients when: They disagree with their Functional Capacity Outcome determination, or A Functional Capacity Outcome cannot be determined following a Clinical Assessment and potential mental health barriers to employment are identified.
• You will also serve as a clinical resource for WeCARE staff to help ensure that program goals and contractual obligations are consistently met.
