Job summary

The Locums Company, LLC is seeking a Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to provide on-site mental health compensation and pension exams for veterans in Jacksonville, NC. This contract/1099 role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with no weekend work.

The ideal candidate holds a North Carolina Psychologist license and a doctorate in psychology, and is prepared for a background check and relocation to the Jacksonville area. On-site work and professional liability insurance are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a North Carolina psychologist license and Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD).
• Contract/1099/independent contractor arrangement with schedule Mon-Fri, 8:00–16:00.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and relocate to Jacksonville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health compensation and pension exams for veterans on-site.
• Assess depression, PTSD, anxiety, sleep and related disorders as they pertain to service-connected claims.
• Provide thorough mental health assessments to support future medical needs.

Job Background:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our team in providing military veterans with thorough mental health compensation and pension exams for service connected issues and claims. The hours at the clinic fall between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Job Description:

Mental health issues addressed during the exams may include depression, military sexual trauma, PTSD, sleeping disorders, eating disorders and anxiety.

Role Description:

This is a contract role for a Locums Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) with The Locums Company, LLC. The Locums provider will work on-site and provide mental assessment for veterans. Focus is on mental health assessment as it relates to the future medical needs. TLC offers excellent contract compensation, and professional liability insurance.

Job Requirement:

• Must have Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) License in North Carolina
• Must have a doctorates degree in Psychology
• Must be willing to work Monday-Friday, 8-4
• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check
