Part time - 3 Days per week
Position Overview
The Psychologist at Springer Diagnostic Center provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents experiencing learning, attention, executive functioning, and related developmental or psychological concerns. This position helps families understand each child's unique learning profile, identify strengths and areas of need, and develop practical recommendations to support success at school and at home.
The Psychologist conducts and interprets assessments, develops individualized evaluation reports, provides feedback and consultation to families, and collaborates with multidisciplinary professionals. The position also contributes to the continued growth of Springer Diagnostic Center through professional collaboration, community education, school partnerships, and outreach.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations of children and adolescents to assess cognitive, academic, attention and executive functioning, social-emotional, and related areas of functioning.
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and educational assessments in accordance with test manuals, professional standards, and best practices.
  • Integrate assessment results with developmental and educational histories, interviews, observations, rating scales, records, and other relevant information to develop a comprehensive understanding of each student.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive, and individualized psychoeducational evaluation reports that communicate findings, diagnostic impressions, strengths, areas of need, and practical recommendations.
  • Conduct feedback sessions with parents and caregivers to explain evaluation findings, answer questions, discuss diagnoses when applicable, and develop meaningful recommendations for supporting the child.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, physicians, and other professionals as appropriate to the needs of the student.
  • Consult with families, educators, schools, and other professionals regarding assessment findings and recommendations when appropriate.
  • Administer reading screenings using standardized and curriculum-based assessments as part of community events and school-based partnerships.
  • Provide professional education, presentations, and consultation for parents, educators, schools, and community organizations on topics related to ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, executive functioning, psychoeducational assessment, and supporting students with learning differences.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of Springer Diagnostic Center through professional collaboration, program development, community and school outreach, and other initiatives that support the Center's mission.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation, including test protocols, scoring, reports, correspondence, and other records in accordance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of psychoeducational assessment practices, learning disabilities, ADHD, dyslexia, diagnostic criteria, educational practices, relevant research, and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Ohio licensure as a psychologist or school psychologist, or eligibility to obtain appropriate Ohio licensure, including candidates completing applicable supervised postdoctoral requirements.
  • Graduate-level training in psychology, school psychology, or a related field from an appropriately accredited program.
  • Training and demonstrated competency in psychological and psychoeducational assessment of children and adolescents, including administration, scoring, interpretation, and integration of standardized assessment data.
  • Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting commonly used cognitive, academic, behavioral, and executive functioning assessments, such as the WISC-V, WIAT-4, KTEA-3, WJ-IV/V, BASC-3, Conners, BRIEF-2, or comparable instruments.
  • Knowledge of ADHD, specific learning disabilities, dyslexia, and related developmental, educational, and psychological concerns.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate assessment findings and recommendations to families and professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical psychology, school psychology, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations with children and adolescents.
  • Familiarity with IEPs, Section 504 Plans, special education requirements, and educational accommodations.
  • Experience collaborating with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, and other professionals as part of an integrated evaluation team.
  • Experience assessing children with dyslexia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and other learning differences.
