This exciting opportunity is for a Psychological Services Associate 1 to provide counseling services in an outpatient program to individuals of all ages. The role involves working on-site in schools to assess student needs, provide consultation and education to school personnel, and make referrals. It may also include outpatient group therapy, adult mobile mental health services, and school-based counseling. Under supervision, establish treatment plans, collaborate with colleagues and community agencies to ensure high-quality services.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This professional therapist position provides outpatient services in the Somerset County Outpatient Program, including school-based counseling and group therapy. Responsibilities include providing individual, family, and group therapy, performing diagnostic evaluations, making referrals, and coordinating care. The role also involves crisis intervention, participating in staff development, and community presentations.

School-based counseling includes providing therapy to children and adolescents, formulating treatment plans, and consulting with school personnel. Outpatient group therapy involves conducting sessions focusing on self-care and recovery. Adult mobile mental health services involve providing therapy in clients' homes, including individual and family therapy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work hours may be adjusted for evening appointments or emergencies.
• Telework options available after training and probation period.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in psychology or a related field (considered if within 3 months of graduation).
• PA residency is waived for this position.
