Description

PeaceHealth is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. Our commitment to Behavioral Health is demonstrated through our state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric unit, nationally recognized research, and community advocacy. Oregon is part of CMS’ demonstration project, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), aiming to transform mental health services. PeaceHealth participates as a CCBHC, enhancing our industry-leading coordinated care strategies, including community-based resources and integration with primary care. We are transitioning into a full medical home model with team-based care, providing telepsychiatry services to our network and rural communities.

Our progressive programs have garnered national attention, including work with first-episode schizophrenia, and we participate in a multi-site National Institute of Mental Health study. Our patient-centered approach prioritizes recovery and community well-being.

Practice Highlights

  • Work as part of a 3-physician team on our 35-bed acute unit
  • 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
  • Extensive inpatient services, strong consult liaison and outpatient programs
  • Full support team including therapists, social workers, and medical staff
  • Variety of patient cases, opportunities for administrative, teaching, and research roles
  • Occasional support to the Emergency Department
