Description

We seek Psychiatry board-certified MDs and DOs to serve as Supervising Physicians (SPs) for our psychiatry-certified advanced practice practitioners (APPs) in Florida. SPs will collaborate asynchronously with delegates for chart reviews, prescribing authority, and compliance with federal/state requirements. The role requires clinical decision-making confidence and adherence to evidence-based guidelines. Our electronic health record system facilitates documentation and reviews.

Compensation is based on the number of delegates supervised, with malpractice insurance provided. Supervision requires a full, unrestricted DEA in FL and CA.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Employ high-quality, independent medical judgment overseeing delegate care.
• Supervise a minimum of 4 Psychiatric NPs.
• Supervise care across various service lines, including mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and ADHD.
• Provide feedback and guidance to delegates.
• Attend monthly meetings and document attendance.
• Review at least 5% of delegate clinical notes monthly.
• Conduct monthly video or phone meetings with delegates.
• Respond promptly to credentialing and enrollment requests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduation from an accredited MD/DO program.
• Board-Certified in Psychiatry & Neurology.

• Experience in outpatient, continuity-of-care settings preferred.
• Residency in the United States required.
• Telemedicine experience is a plus but not required.
