Position Overview

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest healthcare system in New Jersey, seeks a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Psychiatry Emergency Screening Site (PESS Unit / Emergency Psychiatry) at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role involves crisis intervention, stabilization, and treatment provision. No regular overnight call duty is required, with weekend rounding compensated and scheduled with department staff.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Board-certified in Geriatric or Adult Psychiatry
  • NJ license or eligible for licensure

Open to new graduates and experienced physicians. Trainees can earn up to $24,000 through our residency stipend program if joining during their final residency year.
