Job description

An academic-affiliated hospital in eastern Massachusetts is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatry Physician due to growth.

About the Opportunity:

• 100% inpatient role
• Join a team with one other psychiatrist and one APRN
• Open to candidates with general psychiatry or geriatric psychiatry specialization
• Cases include geriatric psychiatry, dementia, adult cases, depression, and anxiety
• Participate in re-envisioning geriatric psychiatry within the system
• Option to conduct consults; not mandatory
• Opening a new 21-bed unit for adult inpatients alongside geriatric patients
• Expected patient census is 10 per day; additional compensation for seeing more patients
• This is a Med/Psych unit with a medical service for co-management and treatment of medical presentations
• Call duties are not required and are compensated additionally
• Involvement in medical student teaching; residents rotate through inpatient units
• Flexible day shifts
