Job summary

Medicus Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Psychiatrist for a contract assignment in central Alabama. The role covers both inpatient and outpatient settings with Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule and required call shifts.

Licensed psychiatrists, board-certified or board-eligible, are welcome to apply. Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care. Travel and lodging are arranged, and malpractice coverage is provided.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory accepted.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
• Comfort with inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Manage medications and monitor responses.
• Provide follow-up care and continuity of treatment.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
• Call shifts required
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
