Overview

Since 1902, Summit Oaks Hospital, a 122-bed behavioral health facility, has been providing quality mental health care for youths (5–17) and adults (18 and older) struggling with psychiatric and substance-use issues. Our staff includes psychiatrists, nurses, clinicians, and counselors dedicated to individualized patient care.

Summit Oaks Hospital, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is one of the longest-standing mental health and substance abuse treatment centers in New Jersey. Located in Summit, a thriving community near New York City, it offers a vibrant environment with excellent amenities and schools.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time, hospital-employed role.
  • Clinical leadership including inpatient caseload of 12 and supervision of PMHNPs.
  • Monday-Friday schedule with limited call.
  • Fellowship-trained Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist preferred; Adult trained candidates also considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years inpatient experience; leadership experience preferred.
  • Competitive annual salary with bonus structure.

Minimum Requirements
  • MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
  • Board-certified in Adult or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
