MercyOne Waterloo/Cedar Falls Behavioral Health Care in Iowa is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with Psychiatric Mental Health certification to join our established team.

This clinic-based role includes shared call responsibilities, inpatient unit coverage, and collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Qualificações

• Current Iowa license as a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Psychiatric Mental Health certification required.
• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry strongly desired.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions.
• Prescribe medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide patient education and support for families.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Position Overview

MercyOne Waterloo/Cedar Falls Behavioral Health Care is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with Psychiatric Mental Health certification to join our established, well-respected, and growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy instant volume and collaborate with a strong multidisciplinary team.

Practice Highlights

• Clinic-based role with shared call responsibilities.
• Current team: 2 General Psychiatrist, 2 Child Psychiatrist, 1 Psych Hospitalist, 3 ARNP.
• Call schedule: Weekday: 1:5*; Weekend: 1:7* (*subject to change). Includes consults and inpatient unit coverage.
• Facilities: 20-bed Inpatient Unit at Waterloo Medical Center; Horizons Chemical Dependency Unit.
• Large support staff of psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors.
