We are seeking a Cardiologist Advisor to provide clinical expertise, investment evaluation, and strategic guidance for cardiology-focused healthcare startups. This role is an exciting opportunity for a cardiologist passionate about venture capital, healthcare technology, and innovative solutions for cardiovascular care.

Role Overview

The Cardiologist Advisor will play a critical role in evaluating cardiology-focused investments, conducting clinical due diligence, and advising healthcare startups on innovations in cardiac care, heart disease management, cardiovascular diagnostics, and cardiology AI applications. The cardiologist will assess emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with real-world clinical practice and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate clinical validity, safety, and efficacy of new technologies from a cardiologist’s perspective.
  • Assess digital health solutions, AI-driven cardiac diagnostics, telecardiology platforms, and cardiovascular medical devices.
  • Analyze the regulatory landscape (FDA, CMS, HIPAA, CPT coding, reimbursement models) for cardiology innovations.
  • Provide risk assessment and feasibility analysis for startups developing cardiology-focused treatments, wearables, and digital health platforms.
  • Offer clinical expertise to portfolio companies developing cardiology-focused solutions, including hypertension management, arrhythmia detection, telecardiology, and AI-powered imaging.
  • Advise on reimbursement strategies, payer dynamics, and hospital system integration for cardiology-related healthcare innovations.
  • Support cardiology startups in designing clinical trials, physician adoption strategies, and patient engagement models.
  • Assist in recruiting key opinion leaders (KOLs) in cardiology and forming cardiology advisory boards.
Industry Thought Leadership & Networking
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in cardiology, including AI-driven diagnostics, remote cardiac monitoring, wearable heart health technologies, and novel therapeutics for cardiovascular disease.
  • Represent the firm at healthcare investment conferences and cardiology-focused events.
  • Engage with cardiologists, cardiac care centers, research institutions, and policy leaders to enhance the firm’s presence in the cardiology investment space.
Qualifications
  • Board-certified Cardiologist (MD or DO) with clinical experience in general cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, or heart failure management.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiology reimbursement models, clinical guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with healthcare startups, cardiology telemedicine, or venture capital is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating clinical data, business models, and cardiology-related innovations.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between cardiologists, investors, and healthcare entrepreneurs.
