Job summary
The Fargo VA Health Care System is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide consultation services to primary care teams, addressing a wide range of psychiatric care needs. The role includes collaborating with primary care providers to improve diagnosis, treatment, and management, using evidence-based and pharmacological interventions, in face-to-face or Telemental health settings.
An on-call rotation with other psychiatrists for inpatient services will be included; telework is not authorized for this
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and English language proficiency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation services to primary care teams to address psychiatric care.
- Work with primary care providers to improve diagnosis, treatment and management of psychiatric patients.
- Perform systematic, evidence-based treatment and, when needed, Telemental health; participate in on-call rotation for inpatient services.
